Good car, Good garage - Would recommend

I purchased a car from 1st Choice 4 months ago. The car itself is in near perfect condition and although there was a fault with the car Sean (who I believe may be the manager) paid for the replacement part. All the staff have been helpful and professional and I would recommend this garage. I don't buy cars very often so was nervous about purchasing the car, but all the paperwork speaks for itself and the car has been reliable.

Great Customer Service

Picked up a car which went wrong in the first 15 minutes. They took it back with no quibble, sorted the problem and also fixed a couple of other issues they found. Purchase of Range Rover Vouge SE

Having purchased a Range Rover Sport Supercharged over two years ago from 1st Choice, which gave me 70,000 miles of trouble free motoring, I had no hesitation in seeking the bigger Vogue model from them. Having kept an eye on their website for a few weeks, I finally found the one I was looking for, Rimini Red with Ivory interior. Visited garage next day which being a Saturday was very busy with customers, but I was able to see the car all gleaming in leisure with no pushy salesmen and decided this was the one for me. Had a chat with Sean the owner, who told me all the history of the car and came up with a good deal taking my Sport in as part exchange. Sean confirmed all the facts and figures via text on Sunday morning. Finance agreed on the Monday and signed up the finance papers on the Tuesday. Picked up car on the Friday afternoon. Superb! Quick, efficient, no hassle and Sean kept me informed via phone or text, promptly every step of the way.

Having studied the Lotus Esprit S3 market for many months the ona at 1st Choice cars ticked all my boxes. We found 1st Choice Cars online, and I can only say I wish I had found them sooner. They have a enormous amount of really smart Landrovers of varying models. I've never known a company have so many! We had been looking for the 'right car' for nearly 6 years now, and thanks to Sean at the dealership, we got it. After the initial contact by me, Sean put a lot of legwork into finding our perfect vehicle, and once he found it, we viewed it online and then drove for 5hrs, to buy it. I had been looking for awhile on the internet to change our car. We had inherited a small amount of money and we wanted something which was both comfortable and economic and reasonable mileage. I hope this e-mai finds you well.  I’d like to express my satisfaction on the smooth car buying process at 1st choice cars in Faringdon.  Both the photos and videos of the vast vehicles for sale on the website are detailed and accurate.  The correspondence that I recieved from 1st choice cars was polite and swift.  The whole process from viewing, financing, taxing, mot, part exchanging and valeting was all taken care of by 1st choice cars and nothing was too much trouble.  The only thing that I had to organise my self was my insurance in order to drive away.  Once a mutaul date was agreed for pick up, Sean made sure that my car was ready for the said date.  On arrival at 1st choice cars Faringdon I was greeted by Michael and I must say what an asset he is to the company!  He made me a hot drink and allowed me to wonder round the show room viewing all the beautiful cars both classic and modern, just wow!  He promptly went to get my car for me to inspect it and asked if I had any questions or needed any help with the controls.  Michael is so knowledgeable and passionate about cars and it really was a pleasure talking to him and finding out about my own car.  The free full valet, keyring, half a tank of fuel and bouquet of flowers were a really nice touch.  I would definatelty recommend 1st choice cars to other people and I would buy my next car from there.  The actual car is amazing and I’m very happy indeed.

After scanning adds and the internet for several weeks l found a Range Rover Sport in exactly the colour and trim level that l wanted at 1st Choice vehicle sales. After contacting Sean the owner and him giving me all the details l felt very reassured. I am retired living in central France and my wife knew that this would be a lovely retirement present for me.

After an initial phone call, I gave Sean a deposit over the phone and proceeded to tell him l would fly over to the uk in a few days to pick it up after making all the necessary arrangements and bring back to France. On meeting him and a member of his staff they were very helpful and courteous and made the whole transaction so very easy.

I 7purchased a Land Rover Discovery from 1st Choice Cars, and I have been thoroughly impressed by the dedicated, customer focused service and attitude of the company throughout. On preparing the vehicle for delivery (after having agreed a purchase price) the company identified a battery issue. At their expense the vehicle was sent to a local auto electricians' who were unable to resolve. The car was then sent to a Land Rover main dealership who, after several days identified the fault and replaced the component (door handle). The vehicle was delivered in immaculate condition. Sean couldn't have done more to keep me in the picture and offer pragmatic solutions.  Having searched the Internet and finding such a choice at 1st Choice
Cars, Faringdon, Oxfordshire I made an appointment to visit to see an
Aintree Green Discovery 4. Unfortunately it had been sold the day
previous to my visit, however there was a second. Sean made us very
welcome and made coffee. A member of his staff gave us a tour of the
vehicle and we had a test drive.

Apart from a few very minor issues, the vehicle was immaculate. Sean
made a list of the issues and within two days he called to say that 75%
had been rectified and within another two days, the vehicle was ready
for collection.

Sean and his staff were very friendly and not pushy at all. There was
no pressure in trying to force us to make any decisions and we were
left alone to discuss.

The choice of vehicles they offer have to be seen to be believed but I
would recommend that if you have a vehicle In mind, get there quickly.
The turnover appears to be very quick; after I had placed my deposit
and agreed the purchase, another customer came (and wanted to buy
mine. I think not!)

After searching everywhere for a new family car, we came across 1st Choice Cars. Initially wanting a 7 seater, looked into buying a Volvo XC90, but couldn’t resist also looking at the impressive selection of Land Rovers in stock. Sean and Scott let us have a good look around at various cars without being pushy. We left the premises with a very good idea of what we could afford but still unsure of what would be the best car to suit our needs and budget. The following day I rang and spoke to Sean and asked for some advice on the Land Rover Discovery’s he had for sale and any recommendations. He very quickly replied with a link to the website for a black Discovery 3, which was a 1 owner from new and a full Land Rover Stratstone service history. Having viewed the online photos and a very detailed video of the car, requested to view and test drive the next day. The following day it was ready on the forecourt for me to test drive. After the test drive and liking the car offered to purchase on condition it was serviced and had a 12 month MOT with no advisories. This was carried satisfactory out before collection. On the day of collection, myself, wife and our 3 kids were greeted by Sean and given the chance to check to car over once more before completing the paperwork. We were offered coffee whilst Sean sorted out the paperwork, road tax and warranty. With regards to the warranty, I did a little homework on what common problems Land Rovers have and this was truthfully made aware to us by Sean, which was very honest, as many dealers wouldn’t tell you the bad points, (all cars have them!). My experience of dealing with Sean and his colleagues at 1st Choice has been a fair experience, i've now covered almost 300 miles in this old car since collection. i've looked at the car and wanted to be critical and find things that do not tally up with 1st choice cars description. Reading this testimonial, both buyer and seller may wonder why i would want to look for problems, after paying, what some could say is more than the going rate for a BMW 3.0CS?

I was told some years ago by a old car enthusiast, that there is rarely such a thing as cheap classic, you either buy cheap and dig deep to put things right or buy the best you can afford and avoid having the car as a project, in bits for a few years, on the garage floor..

Taking my old friends advise, i bought the best example i had seen, thankfully the car appears to be as astonishing as its advertised description.

I had never used First Choice Cars before and being driven by a good value car I was drawn to one particular vehicle, an immaculate graphite grey BMW 530d touring. With the modern world being driven by technology, it was important to know that the car was *exactly* as described - we all know what private sellers can be like nowadays, trying to pull the wool over your eyes to get a bit more money, leaving you disappointed in what is an expensive purchase.

Their BMW was the cheapest and best spec in the country, with good miles. I am particularly detailed in my research so I had a lot of questions for them. Sean and Devon were true professionals and answered all questions accurately and clearly, despite numerous emails and phone calls. It is the only way to run a business nowadays from afar.

Upon trusting them I travelled 120 miles to see the car, knowing I'd drive it away. They sorted out Tax, MOT, a fresh service, 5 day drive away insurance and a warranty on the car for a very reasonable price.

It was unusual knowing I'd buy a car from a dealer without having seen it, as I knew all the details beforehand. I normally buy privately but would highly recommend First Choice to any private buyer going premium and looking for something better, for a similar price. I for one, will be looking at those website before buying my next luxury vehicle.

I stumbled across 1st Choice Cards through an online search. I was looking for a good, low milage, pre-used Mini Roadster to compare against what I could get new from a dealer.
My enquiry via the website was responded to in a call within an hour of posting. George talked me through the card and answered my questions accurately and clearly; even the more technical ones around iPhone integration.
 
Arranging test drives and viewing was tricky. I live a few hundred miles away and being busy this was tricky to arrange. In the end I viewed and purchased on the same day. The car did meet the expectations that George gave me and a test drive was not required. You get to know the car owning it, right?
 
In summary buying a car from 1st Choice was a great experience. There were no issues and working with George was easy.
I appreciate I have ruined summer for the UK now as there is likely to be no prolonged sunshine. I do however have a grin on my face and can settle quite comfortably into my mid-life-crisis. The flowers given to me even matched my eyes ;)

This was my first experience dealing with the garage and I was blown away with the level of service I received. The same if not better than the level of service you would expect from a main dealer.

Firstly a big thanks to Sean and Adrian who were great to deal with...Sean even got back to me at around 11 oclock at night while abroad!

Been looking for a Jaguar XFR for a while, and came across this one and fell in love with it! Spoke to Sean one night and he got Adrian to phone me back the next morning. Both guys were very enthusiastic about the car, but didn't push me into a sale, which is hard to come across nowadays!

So with the car being a 200 mile ferry trip, and 510 mile road trip away from the Shetland Islands to Faringdon, i got my transport booked. This meant a couple of weeks wait, but this wasn't a problem for the guys. They explained the car perfectly, and it was exactly as described when i collected it. To be honest, i've hard more hassle on the weekly shop than i did buying the XFR!

So it was well worth the 1500 mile round trip, taking 4 days, a cancelled ferry due to wind, and missing a day of work to buy my car!

Finally, I was very surprised to get a courtesy call a couple of days later from adrian just to make sure I was happy with the car. 

Would certainly use them again!

We recently purchased a 2010 Volvo XC90 R design from 1st Choice Cars, having traipsed around many dealerships around the south of England, where  for several weeks, we had been looking for an 'up to' 3 year old car. We were constantly put off by both people and places. Other dealerships appeared to have lack of onsite support for test drives, nowhere to work / repair vehicles in the event you should have to return to the dealer for whatever reason ( something that we felt important when buying a second hand car!), not actually having the cars they advertised, and slightly irritating sales people that expected us to make a decision of their choice within half an hour!

Faringdon is over an hour away from home and it was well worth the journey. We were very pleasantly surprised by the non pushy, informative, guiding sales process, and 1st Choice cars large selection of quality XC90's, along with other makes and models. Being able to look all over the cars inside and out with as much time as we needed was really appreciated.

On site there is a large workshop area, and an onsite Valet. A large selection of vehicles indoors and outdoors. A pleasant indoor sales area, where we were offered tea and coffee and lots of seats for the children. we didn't need to pre-arrange a test drive, and once we saw the car we really liked, we were able to take it out for a good test drive.

After selection of our vehicle we ran through all of the 'little things' that we would like to have changed, Nothing major, a few scratches here and there, anything you would expect with a second hand vehicle. Paid a small deposit and arranged a later date to collect the car.  Upon collection absolutely everything we had pointed out as a minor issue had been resolved - either repaired or replaced with brand new, the car was also fully serviced and valeted to the highest standard. We felt like we were driving away a lovely new car.  The vehicle came with three months warranty. 7 days fully comprehensive drive away insurance (took 10 minutes on line before collection) , and for peace of mind we have opted for a 2 year extended warranty that is very well priced. There were no hidden costs or fees unlike some of the dealerships we visited, and only had to pay additional for road tax, which we felt acceptable.

We have ended up with a wonderful car, at a good price and would not hesitate to recommend anyone to purchase a vehicle from this dealership. When we decide to change our car, or get another, its most likely going to be the first place we look!
